数学辅导服务:

  • One-on-one consultations for learners on math 问题 in any discipline.
  • Handouts and reference materials on common math topics.
  • 为教师提供教学支持.
  • Test preparation for students and faculty for assessments given by the college or for certification purposes.

数学辅导班:

To schedule a session at the Main 校园 in Sumter, click on the “scheduling” button at the top of the page. 

A typical math tutoring session lasts anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes, 这取决于客户的需求. 

Sessions can cover any of the following:

  • 特定主题或目标.
  • 审查提交的测验/考试.
  • 为即将到来的评估做准备.
  • 使用数字感来评估结果. 

Sessions regarding Number Sense may include goals such as:

  • 了解如何使用评估.
  • 如何分解文字问题.
  • Identifying information that is irrelevant to the problem.

For tutorial sessions, clients are expected to:

  • 保持约会
  • Come to the session prepared, ready to participate and with 具体的 问题
  • Bring their textbook, or know how to access the e-text
  • 带上计算器和笔记
  • Retain responsibility for their own work

数学辅导老师的期望:

For tutorial sessions, tutors are expected to:

  • 给予客户全心全意的关注.
  • 根据需要提供指导. 
  • Provide direct feedback that addresses areas where the client should focus their future study and practice. 
  • Help set goals with the client on what they should expect to be upcoming. 

另外, a tutor will never solve problems for the client, complete assessments or do a homework assignment for the client.

For tutorial sessions, clients are expected to:

  • Come to the session prepared, ready to participate and with 具体的 问题
  • Bring their textbook, or know how to access the e-text in Connect
  • Bring science course materials such as PowerPoints, Lab Study Guide, etc.
  • Retain responsibility for their own work

Expectations of 科学辅导 Tutors:

For tutorial sessions, tutors are expected to:

  • 给予客户全心全意的关注.
  • 根据需要提供指导.
  • Provide direct feedback that addresses areas where the client should focus their future study and practice.
  • Help set goals with the client on what they should expect to be upcoming.
  • Provide the client with techniques to use in the science course to study.

另外, a tutor will never solve problems for the client, complete assessments or do a homework assignment for the client.

  • Generate ideas pertaining to their own work
  • Retain responsibility for their own work 

对导师的期望:

For tutorial sessions, tutors are expected to: 

  • 给予客户全心全意的关注
  • Initiate the consultation through generative 问题 and lines of inquiry
  • 根据需要提供指导
  • Provide direct feedback that addresses clients’ intentions and concerns
  • Help set goals with the client on what the next step in the writing process is

另外, a tutor will never write on a client’s paper, perform editing and revision tasks or offer an evaluative insight on the assignment.
